Mako's American Grille

Makos never disappoints! We had a glitch in that open table took a reservation for us on a Thursday nite when Makos was closed. We were so upset as we drove 2+ hours to get there and it was closed. Silver lining was that we were able to dine for lunch Friday and the food was amazing as usual. The manager was understanding and apologized for the glitch. Highly recommend the pasta with crab and shrimp in pink sauce. Worth traveling for! Also don't miss the crab bisque which we have had many times and is outstanding.

Service was super excellent. Our server was pleasant, timely and smiled easily. She gave excellent advice as to the menu. The food was very good. I ordered the Blackened Mako. The combination of the blackened fish, apples, onions and chutney was designed excellent. All of it together enhanced the experience. My wife ordered the crab stuffed tilapia. Again, far better than expected. My only knock on the place is that the portion size was small for the price. FYI: like lots of Jersey restaurants, its BYOB.

I made a reservation at Mako's through OpenTable for January 28, 2018, at 7 PM for my wife and me. I received a confirmation, but when we arrived, the restaurant was closed. Confirmation number: 2109757130. We really enjoy dining at Mako's, so this was quite disappointing. It turns out it was a glitch with OpenTable and not Mako's fault. We returned on February 17, 2018, and had a fantastic experience.

Love the creative items on the menu-far from typical! A BYOB which is great too. Saturday night at the Shore in August gets very busy. Parking difficult, staff very busy and attentive. Have been before and will be back next Shore trip! Reserva una mesa ahora

Mako 's was closed at the time of my reservation. The place was locked up tight. Not sure why Open Table took my reservation! I 'll give them another try in the future, but will call them directly for a reservation.

This is a great restaurant with a lot of gluten free options that are delicious. The service is always great and the chef is very accomodating. It is also a great spot for breakfast.

2 nd time here . 1 st was in busy summer so not great too busy but tried again and had a Groupon! Very good!! Def be back!
