During our dinner this past Saturday with a party of 10, two family members ordered veal, but it was so tough that they struggled to cut it with their knives. They had to send it back and wait an additional 20-25 minutes for new entrées. The restaurant was extremely busy. When their food finally arrived, they ended up boxing it to take home because they felt disappointed about the inedible veal while the rest of us had already finished our meals. The noise level in the restaurant was overwhelming, with people chatting loudly and music playing, which contributed to a headache by the time we left. Malaga Spanish Restaurant is one of the best discoveries I've ever made. I lived in Trenton from 1994 to 1999 and worked at Diagnostic, Inc. on Lamberton Road. One day, I stumbled upon Malaga and decided to give it a try. I must say, the service, management, and food were all outstanding. The servers were dedicated to ensuring I had everything I needed. Don 't go here. They LIE about their waiting times and give precedence to larger groups. We were told that it would take 20 minutes to seat 2 people but we ended up waiting over 1 hour!! Also, their side dish for an expensive shrimp dish was sliced fried potatoes. Also, it is VERY boring. They have NO music during dinner. This is a strictly dinner place. Also they sent people out in the rain to go to be seated in the new room. Go somewhere else. I’ve been coming here for years! They’ve never failed us!! The food and service is always excellent!! One of our favorite date night spots!!! Absolutely delicious food, great atmosphere, and excellent service!! It was a true fully authentic experience and I would highly recommend eating here. I had dinner at this restaurant and it was fantastic! The food was outstanding, earning a perfect 5. The service was equally impressive, also deserving a 5. The atmosphere was delightful, providing a wonderful backdrop for the evening, so I’ll rate it a 5 as well. Highly recommended!
