This is the best prime rib sandwich you'll ever taste! There's outdoor seating available in the parking lot, and Taco Thursday has quickly become my new favorite lunch option. They even have a salsa bar and offer tasty corned beef tacos. Everything is absolutely delicious. I also tried the blue cheese burger, but I keep coming back to the prime rib sandwich. Today, I opted for the bacon cheeseburger with blue cheese dressing on the side for $11. It was incredibly delicious, and I also got a garden salad for $5, which came with what might be the best blue cheese dressing in the world! Plus, the bartenders are so friendly and charming—no attitude at all. My new favorite beer is the Harland Haz...
The bar was quite crowded, so my friend and I asked a bouncer if we could step outside for a moment to get some fresh air. When we tried to re-enter a minute later, the bouncer denied my friend access unless he paid a $20 "cut the line" fee. I pointed out that I had just spoken to him moments earlier, but he called me a liar and insisted that my friend had never been inside in the first place. In response to this rude behavior, we decided to leave with our entire group of six. If you're looking to be taken advantage of by unfriendly bouncers, this might be the place for you.
We were driving around town searching for restaurants open on Christmas Day and stumbled upon Malarkys! It's a traditional Irish pub, and we tried The Perfect Guinness, which definitely lived up to its name. The Pub burger was delicious and cooked just right. However, the fish and chips were slightly disappointing, as there seemed to be more batter than fish. On the bright side, be sure to order the tots as your side—they're absolutely a must!
I visited this neat pub with my cousin on a fairly quiet evening. The ambiance was nice, but the bartender appeared more interested in enjoying themselves after hours than in attending to us. We had to actively seek out anyone who would notice us just to place our drink and food orders. I'm not sure if this is typical for the establishment or just an isolated incident.

This restaurant brought immense joy to my Irish side. I indulged in a Guinness, a pastrami sandwich, and a corned beef sandwich. I even sampled their Irish taco, which featured corned beef in a green tortilla. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their pancakes and chicken fingers. I would honestly plan another trip to Newport Beach just to eat here again!
The atmosphere is lively and cheerful, making it a fantastic spot for watching sports or just enjoying a good time. It can get quite noisy, but the service is excellent, and the food is good. However, I found it unusual that they don't serve vinegar with the fish and chips, especially for an Irish pub.
A classic spot in NPB. I frequented this place during my 20s and it remains a fantastic bar. The food is excellent, with a wonderful breakfast and brunch menu. The beef sandwiches are outstanding, and the drinks are fantastic as well.
It was a lively place to watch college football. It was a little noisy, but you quickly get used to the noise. The food was outstanding, and I thought the prices were very reasonable.
