We arrived on Saturday before 12. I would like to say that we were greeted, but we were roughly asked if we had reservations and/or members of the doorman in a suit - we were dressed casually, but not dressed so, we seemed, we couldn't pay our tab. When we said we had no reservations and were not, the doorman said hesitantly that they were busy and We must see what we can do for you and is handed over to the host. We had the impression that we were not served because there was no room for us. The hostess said politely that there is a walk in the section and it's location in the bar. We just moved to the area, which is not a good impression that the doorman made. I have the feeling that the doorman believes that there is a dress code that is not released, or my husband and I did not match the exclusivity he wanted to bring to the facility today. As you can see from the photo, there are ZERO other cartridges at the time that we arrived, so that the expectation of business in his name certainly turned me away from the intention to return my to this facility.
Go to the atmosphere. Came at 7:00 on a Saturday, reserved the table Friday night. Was full, definitely a reservation. I have a good choice of wine (do not expect crazy pleasure). I'm more a beer type and they have many good beer options on tap. Reservation payment goes to your final invoice. I have a food truck for Mexican cuisine and a tent area where they serve pizza. I have to go up and pay for it, then they'll write you when it's done. Pretty much you serve yourself situation. The atmosphere is great, at night the lights along the trees make for a beautiful environment. I have to be brave at the weekend. My date definitely enjoyed it. The trip through Malibu and the valley was beautiful. Total 9/10 would recommend.
Last night, my friend called to see if I could meet her tonight and help her kill some time before she picked up her husband at the airport. Malibu Wines Beer Garden was both practical to us so we agreed to meet there. It made us a tea! The staff was super friendly and helpful and the wine was nice. The best of all was the comfortable, topanga-y feeling on the grounds. Even with a Saturday evening crowd, my friend and I had a wonderful time, wine and chatting.
