Malo In Des Mo - Reserva de mesa

I feel I could have lived an entire life before my canned beer got to my table. Almost 15 minutes to receive a canned beer on a slow day. It's no wonder why this location is about to shut down. The issue was mainly due to service, but the food was nothing to write home about. Presentation and plating were kind to the eye but lacked real flavor. I had a party of 4, and two did not show until 25 min after myself and my lady. I ordered chips and salsa and a beer. It took the other 2 people showing up and getting their drinks first before we got the chips and my drink. Let's hope that if they open another location. They do not hire the same staff.

Glad it's closing. Service has been awful for awhile. Had reservations and they were over sat. While being harsh, sat us at a dirty table. The server was mad at us for being sat at the table. The busser barely wiped the table and didn't even get the crumbs from the last meal off when they came. Awful service and mediocre food.

Tried to order food online on multiple occasions and they won't take orders. Tried to call the restaurant 8-9 times and the phone rings until going to voicemail. Apparently they don't want any business.

Great food with good vegan options, unfortunately was really loud, which is not really their fault they were very busy, but could cause issues with those sensitive to noise or crowds. Reserva una mesa ahora

We came into Des Moines for a show and had a great time. Malo is a great spot with a spacious outdoor section, quality food, and a friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, margaritas and service. I went when my daughter was in town and our server was so kind giving us time to catch up. Queso was incredible.

Chips and salsas amazing, Tacos, especially the shrimp tacos perfectly prepared and seasoned. Friendly and professional management and staff.
