Completely bemused as to how this rates so highly. Four of five dishes well below acceptable from a restaurant of this standing. Roasted peppers appetiser: so hot it detracted from the dish and ruined ability to taste the second appetiser. Scallops special entree: scallops over-cooked and very much over-powered by the smokey slow-cooked pork and strangely matched with rubbery shitakes. Lamb shoulder main: accompanying grain so salty it was rendered inedible and very little sauce to help swallow dry lamb. Pork belly main: pork generally dry, smoked over sauce tasted simply like bottled oyster sauce, and sweet potato puree so thin it lacked the consistency of baby food. Wrong bottle of wine se...
Restaurant is tucked away upstairs in a dark room full of old-school character. They waitresses took half an hour to ask us what we wanted to eat, despite not being overly busy on a Monday evening. We had scallops for entree (nice), pork belly shareplate with Brussel sprouts and duck fat potatoes. Not a fan of the potatoes - hard and not really tasting the duck fat... Brussel sprouts grew on me but was not what I was expecting. It's more like Brussel sprouts chips? The pork belly was really nice though with cabbage and peaches. Really great spot for lunch at very reasonable prices. The duck ragu with ricotta balls has a really nice balance of flavours, though today was a little bland. Ambience is casual and comfortable, but still very professional. Great place to take colleagues. Service was quite good. Great spot to add to your regular list of CBD suggestions.
A very enjoyable meal. The young staff were excellent- friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Starters of roo tail pasta and beef salad were well presented and tasty. Lamb rump main was to die for.
My fave restaurant! The food is amazing, cocktails delicious and the staff could not be more friendly and efficient. The dark lights and pianist create a relaxed and enjoyable ambience.
Ate in the bar as opposed to the restaurant. Good ambiance, good food, air conditioned which was very welcome in summer. Will definitely go back to experience the restaurant upstairs Reserva una mesa ahora
Great little spot to get whisky and a snack or meal. A bartender that actually knows their bourbon and whiskey. Worth a try for sure, loved the cheese platter with a drink.
