Found Mamma Mia off Trip Advisor. Happy we visited! The building is an old fire station converted into a lovely Italian restaurant. Daniel, the owner's son, was very friendly and talked to us for a little while as our food was being prepared. He speaks...great English and since our sister-in-law and her family live in Italy not far from where his father is from, we had that in common for conversation purposes. I’ve been to this location over a decade ago, and although sad to see the traditional Alte Feuerwasche (old firehouse) restaurant opened under a different name/cuisine, the food and atmosphere at Mama Mia’s are still great. Most remnants of the old firehouse are unchanged. From...the new name, you can ascertain the restaurant is Italian, but they still serve some German fare. My husband had the pizza special, along with the combination pasta, and I had a salad and garlic shrimp which also came with a side of pasta. Everything was superb and the service was good. Wir waren mit Freunden dort und haben sehr gut gegessen. Das Personal war freundlich und konnte hervorragend Auskunft über die diversen Gerichte geben. Wir fühlten uns gut aufgehoben.Einziger und zugleich sehr großer Minuspunkt ist, dass keinerlei Karten akzeptiert werden, das geht unserer Meinung nach gar nicht und führt somit zu nur 3 statt 4 oder gar 5 PunktenWer ohne genügend Bargeld hingeht, hat verloren wenn das Dinner etwas üppiger ausfällt, was bei der Qualität nicht schwer ist, auch da der Wein sehr gut aber nicht gerade günstig ist.

One of the best food in the town. The owner is a bartender and waiter himself and doing both jobs pretty well. The restaurant was full even in the middle of the week. For that reason I recommend to book a table in advance. The...food was amazing quality, I ordered a grappa and a tomato salad for a start and a glass of red Italian with the main. The main was grilled turkey in sauce and fresh mushrooms to die for it. The lemon ice-cream was delicious also. Definitely will come back!
Tonight was our second visit to Mama Mia and it was as amazing as our fist visit. Perfect service, cool atmosphere and friendly owner. We had the scampi special and the spaghetti scogliera and both were excellent. Cash only so be prepared. This was a perfect spot for date night, and can easily be walked to from the landstuhl train station. This is now our favorite Italian place in the whole area. The fish is awesome.
I have eaten here numerous times with friends and the food is always good. The pasta is yummy, the pizza is good and the ice cream is just heaven. They don't accept animals inside though, so be prepared. The service is great and the food...is always to order and super hot when brought to the table. I have never been disappointed here.
Wir waren am 22.04.17 zum Abendessen in der Pizzeria. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nach der guten italienischen Vorspeise gab es Pizza und Nudeln mit Spargel, Tomaten und Kalbflisch (sensationell). Die Weinauswahl ist ausreichend und man kann hier einen schönen Abend verbringen.

I ordered the lasagna here. Yes, the serving size was more than I could eat, but it lacked flavor. I found it to be extremely cheesy and bland. The staff was very nice and helpful.
