I found this hidden gem in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. The Mexican food is very authentic. Most of my group were vegan and there were plenty of vegan options available. The vegetable fajitas were delicious and were served hot with just the right amount of oil. The service was top-notch with friendly servers. This restaurant has been in business for 39 years for a good reason! Don't miss out on the amazing vegan desserts.
The Mexican food at this restaurant is delicious and authentic, it's definitely the freshest I've ever had! The venue is cute and they have an amazing selection of margaritas. The service was exceptional, our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendations were excellent. We felt well taken care of and the entire staff was on point. You won't be disappointed with your experience here!
Fantastic Mexican cuisine at an affordable price. The chips and salsa were fresh and crispy, and the service was quick. The enchiladas were good, although not exceptional. The beans, rice, and guacamole were all delicious. The only downside was the atmosphere, as the interior felt dark and crowded. It was also difficult to locate the restaurant from the outside.
The Upper West Side is a food desert, and Mamasita (with an S is no oasis. This is convenient pre-Terminal 5 concert dining only. The drinks were delicious, but the food was very B-/C+ for A+ prices. Staff is friendly and checks in. Food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the fish tacos. My sister enjoyed her tacos (chicken). We got the churro donuts which were just ok- were greasy and bland. They charge 4% for credit cards which is annoying, and prefer venmo or cash for payment.
Not a good experience at all. Service was horrible. Couldn’t tell you about the food or the drinks due to the poor service. Can say we placed an order for drinks and 15-20 minutes later we asked for a check because the drinks never came and the server never returned. Epic fail.
Wonderful food--perhaps one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city. The owner is friendly and active (and from the great city of Bombay). The chef, from Veracruz, excellent. Go there!
