We came for dinner on a Friday night, looking forward to trying somewhere new while we were visiting Banchory. When we arrived we were surprised at the size of the restaurant, it is small and looked more like a takeaway than somewhere for dinner. It was also very quiet with only one other table occupied. When ordering our food we asked if they could make us a plain tomato pasta as there was no dairy/meat free options. I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was heavenly. From the starters to the dessert, every bite was better than the last. We tried various options ranging from vegetarian dishes to meat options, and everything was a hit. Thank you, Mamma Mia, for a delightful dinner!
We were staying in the area for the night and struggled to find a local restaurant which was dog friendly. We opted for takeaway pizzas instead and so glad we did best pizza we’ve had in a long time. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If we are ever visiting the area again we will definitely be back.

We were delighted to find Mamma Mia after a challenging day’s cycle touring. Very good food and service in their upstairs room. Desserts excellent.
