Came here as the Mangal I usually go to closed early for some reason. Prices are extortionate for what you’re getting and food is below average at best and horrendous at worst. No flavour whatsoever and extremely bland. Cant believe I just got charged around £12 for food which majority of went into the bin. If you’re going to charge extortionate prices, atleast make an effort to make the food you cook delicious and fresh to eat. My meal felt as though it was reheated. Just hoping to god I don’t get food poisoning as I have read a similar review with the same outcome. I would definitely avoid this place and would not recommend. Drove a few miles last to collect our order of their no. 2, for three people. It was ready when we arrived, the serving area was clean, the grill area looked efficient and well maintained and the service was good, with an additional caution to keep our grill tray flat. When we got the meal home, while four of us tucked into the cold starters, the hot stuff went into the oven to keep warm. We could not fault the food: it was well cooked, tasty and more than we could with in terms of the amount of food offered. In summary, one of the better takeaways of recent times. Well done.
I ran into this shop to grab a bunch of drinks as I was working nearby and the group was very dehydrated. I only had card and cash was all that was accepted. I began to leave the store and they offered me all the drinks for no money and said just come back and pay next time. Hugely generous, this place demonstrates a real sense of community and I will absolutely stop in to repay the favour when next in town. Highly recommend!
I’ve visited this reaturant for a number of years now, practically since it opened (minus a long lockdown pause). Never once has the food fell below my expectations, it’s very high quality and despite the review on trip advisor, it’s actually very reasonable since each dish is generous and it is good food. The staff are very friendly and fact I drive for 15 mins each way, is worth my time, every-time.
