We came here at the end of a short holiday nearby and had a really lovely evening. The staff were great, with helpful advice. The dining room (and make sure you book - it is only got 8 tables) is very nicely proportioned with a huge wood burning fire on one wall - depending on what you order, you can watch it being cooked! Also some very nice details like the lovely table ware. The food is great - several fixed price options plus a la Carte. We went for the 33 euro menu, which was excellent value and lovely food. The sauces were an absolute high light - and the traditional orange sauce for the duck was spectacular. Apple tart flambé-ed in Calvados was a visual highlight as well as delicious....

We visited this hotel restaurant on a cold evening and were welcomed warmly - including a roaring fire! Coats were taken and hung in a four poster bed (you have to see it!) and seated at our table. We chose the 30€ menu which included a terrine made from the local hunt's catch (hare and boar). Delicious. Then my husband and I chose the pink medallions in an award winning cider sauce. Dessert was Tarte Normande (a large slice of apple pie) served with vanilla ice cream and then flambeed at the table with calvados. Amazing. We had an excellent bottle of Bourgogne for a very reasonable 23€. All in all, a really good meal made with local ingredients well worth the money. Definitely recommended!

Four of us went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch, on the recommendation of the gite where we were staying.I really find it impossible to fault anything about the restaurant - food, service, price were all fantastic. We each had a main and dessert, with a bottle of cider and coffee (petit-fours included with the coffee). We staggered away, full of wonderful food, at a total cost of 125 euros. We had guessed the bill would be 150-190 euros - this is the bargain of all time. The food was excellent. We had duck (cuisse and magret) and steak. All perfect. The dessert was Normandie cuisine - my tarte normande was superb. It's impossible to rate this restaurant too highly.

A regular place to stay as we journey from our ferry crossing to Zeebrugge, knowing that a friendly welcome awaits. Rooms, though not enormous, are pleasant and there is ample space for a break. Always clean and comfortable we enjoy the experience of a stay...in a home typical of the region. The food, both dinner and breakfast, is of excellent quality, well prepared and presented, using locally sourced ingredients. Ample private parking available so all in all, a near perfect place to stay. If requires, English is spoken. We have stayed here many times over more then a decade, and will continue to do so s long as health permits the travelling. Reserva una mesa ahora

The Michelin Guide (in France at least) normally gets its special distinctions right. The Manoir has a "Bib Gourmand" for good food at reasonable prices. This it certainly provides although with a tiny proviso that this is uber traditional cuisine Normande with cream sauces a plenty. What cream sauces though! The price of 21 euros seems a utter bargain. A Belgian fellow luncher felt such quality would cost double in his country. There are three very real bonuses to the Manoir. The lovely old building itself, its situation and the nice people who run it.

It was difficult to fault the service, food or ambiance in this French country inn. The Apple Sorbet with Calvados will become a feature in our own dinner parties; the smoked mackerel 'amuse bouche' again superb. The Langoustine souffle was a little flat and rubbery but all else was first class. They served a very reasonably priced (cheap) but very good Cotes de Rhone Village from Earl Verdier Richard. Madame ensures her staff are on top of things at all times. Well worth a visit.

as an American landowner in saint Sever-Calvados, normandie, we recommend le manoir de l 'acherie for anyone who serves a relaxing high-quality dinner or lunch in the wonderful French need no haste and excellent cuisine, with warm house made brot and hard to find american martini. madam poignavant is an excellent hostess, her normandie is happy to have this caliber of the restaurant available to all of us. commander rand h. wintermute, uscg (ret. cercle national des armies)

We ate here recently, having beeen here last year. We had the cheaper menu @ 21 euros. Lovely starters, very well cooked mains and two superb puddings. Mine the Normandy apple tarte flambe au calvados incurred a 1 euro supplement (quelle horreur!) was fantastic. The one hour trip is worth just for the food!. The service was slowish but that is normal for the logis de france restaurants. They have a leaflet showing other good logis in the Manche and this is one of the best. Reserva una mesa ahora
