We absolutely loved our two nights at this charming and historic establishment. The rooms, located on the third floor, offered beautiful views of the sea and gardens. The decor perfectly reflected the home's history, with gorgeous fabrics, wallpaper, and antique furniture. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and David, the evening host and barman, was a knowledgeable and pleasant presence. It was an easy walk into the center of Oban for dining and shopping. If you only do one thing in Oban, make sure to spend a night here.
We arrived at the hotel with a lovely team front of house, David was an exceptional host with brilliant knowledge of the menu, we loved the views from the bar as we chose what we were having from the menu. We were then taken to the restaurant after a lovely tour of the lounge and the incredible artwork on display. We were completely blown away by the level of service each course was outstanding. Compliments to the chef for the delicious course’s presentation of each. Thank you to the whole team at the Manor House well done
Escape from a disappointing hotel in Oban, and join a friend for dinner at The Manor House. Great decision, as from the moment we sat down to a very special malt whisky (Isle of Jura), Orkney Gin and Elgin Sauvignon, to the time we left after a very good dinner, the whole evening was just so enjoyable. Starters of seared scallops and goat cheese were followed by coq au champagne and perfectly prepared roe buck saddle and roasted monkfish. Peaceful surroundings, capped off with coffee in the lounge.
Great food and wonderful staff. We received a lovely warm welcome and brilliant service both times we visited. David is so good at his job, full of recommendations and local knowledge, made us feel very welcome. The food is exceptional, local organic produce with such nice flavours. Highly recommend the ox cheek with skirlie didn’t know what skirlie was before now but absolutely loved it. Thank you David and the team for a great experience!

Outstanding service from charming and knowledgeable staff. Our room with a view of the sea was cozy and tidy, perfect for our needs. Waking up to the beautiful scenery was a treat. The grounds were lovely for enjoying a drink in the afternoon or evening. A short walk into town made it convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
We love the manor house and although we hadn’t stayed for a few years due to covid we were delighted to see it is as excellent as ever, the standard of food and service is second to none, we do miss our chats with Gregor but the current owners and staff are just as charming, by far the our best meal in Oban.
I recently had one of the best meals of my trip to Scotland at this restaurant. The food and service were excellent! I ordered the sea bream and scallops, which were cooked perfectly and beautifully plated. I highly recommend this fantastic dining experience!

Superb food and friendly service. The breakfasts were excellent. For an evening meal we had the grouse followed by the pheasant, both beautiful cooked and presented.
While staying at the Manor House, we had daily breakfasts and a couple dinners which were all amazing and worth the visit.
