If you find yourself in St Bees and you are not a local resident, there is a good chance you are preparing to embark on the famed Coast to Coast walk that begins on the beach. Close to 200 miles in length, this hike is known worldwide for its beauty. Tonight, I enjoyed a couple of English pints at a pub with people from Australia, France, and the U.S. who are all starting the hike tomorrow. The pub offers a great selection of English ales, as well as popular favorites like Guinness and Stella Artois on tap. The bartender was friendly and the food was incredible. I had the steak and ale pie with vegetable puree, which was delicious. It seems fitting that this pub is a popular spot for hikers...

Went for Sunday lunch and food was lovely- good beer garden at rear so made the most of the lovely weather. Will definitely return
