Good place to get a drink and probably skip the food. Pretzel is not so good to soft and crust is not crispy. I tried better. Place this place is large and can be for big parties. There's a party area in the back, but it doesn't even see it. The tables are huge and can be occupied after 1 or 2 hours. Food is dry and taste is missing. Or that could be like German food, but I tried it in Berlin and Brooklyn. The pork pest is too dry and without taste. You should change the recipe as it is better. Pretzel is a disappointment. Bartender is great. Owner needs to stay away from customers. Asked for sauerkraut cold rather than heated, if possible. They brought it that way, great. Then the owner came out to personally give us a condescending lecture about what to do at restaurants; more specifically, we shouldn 't place special orders because the professionals know best. We were going to order more drinks but left instead. It was offensive and there are too many other choices of where to spend money. Good luck with the recession next year.
First time at this place to try German food We order 3 different plates. 1-Eggrolls was very crispy and served with apple sauce.Was pretty good 2- Hungarian Schnitzel, pork was super soft and tender but the outside nice and crispy tasty and served with a great sauce, spaetzel and cucumber salad. Waitress was very nice and attentive .Place was crowded and tables separated by 2 partitions to protect the customers. Bathroom was very clean. Like the fact is totally enclosed
They have some of the classic German favorites, sadly, several of my favorites were missing like Weiss wurst and schnitzel al Holstein. But they do have some great drum and beers, in bottles and cans and even on tap. here for lunch with an old friend. nothing beautiful, burger and fries. but damn what a burger. that was the most beautiful burger of all time. the fries and tweeper rings were not fat, they were crispy. my wife had the pastrami on a club roll. that sandwich was hearty. and the price was reasonable. service, excellent. you have to eat here.
Pros: authentic German cuisine. Food is very good and quite authentic. Beer is great. And also come: very expensive. A duck will lead you $25 you have another outpost in Queen, which is a little smaller. We visited this facility once every 6-7 months. Since the special prices for food have increased, you have the menu prices.
I've been here forever. I love this place so much. it hates that today they are closed like so many other places. bartenders are great. eating is fast and fresh. not enough German places around. would be cool if they were made bigger in atlas. wish they would add the German pizza to the menu!
