The West African cuisine at this restaurant is both delicious and authentic. Unfortunately, they are currently unable to serve alcohol as they have lost their liquor license. Despite this, we enjoyed everything we tried. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. We dined in for dinner and found the service to be good. The food is a 5 out of 5, the service a 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 5 out of 5. Vegetarians will be pleased with the large selection of vegetarian offerings, which we highly recommend.
Great food!!! We ordered the national dish with chicken and rice and the peanut butter curry dish. Also had the banana leaf tamale appetizer. The flavors were AMAZING. Beauty decor as well, overall lovely experience for our family, will be back! My only thing to be upfront about is that it is not fast food. They are making it fresh, and good stuff takes time. I went for a business lunch meeting. The food was exotic and delicious. Cool weather comfort food. All the platters I saw coming out of the kitchen were heaped to the sky with food. We've been here three times and will continue to patronize this restaurant. The two gentlemen are pleasant. We've tried the veggie patties, Afra, Benachin, Ebbeh, curry chicken, traditional jollof rice, dessert and coffee. The portion size is perfect for sharing. Excellent as leftovers. You feel full but not heavy.
Mansa Kunda is a hidden gem in MoCo, located in the heart of Takoma Park. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is great, and the food is amazing. The price per person for lunch is between $10–20. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.
The Jollof rice and plantains are absolutely delicious! Ali provided excellent service as our server. The food was a perfect 5 out of 5, with the service coming in at a 4 out of 5. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also rated at 4 out of 5.

This is a beautiful restaurant and the love for Africa is in the air. I ordered fufu with the okra stew and it was absolutely delicious. The beef in the okra was pleasantly tender. I enjoyed my time here. Great staff too!
