This was my first time staying at an inn that was built in the 1700's. Mostly still original, inside and out. Our room was vry clean and cozy. The bathroom was upgraded to current standards. Literally first class accomodations for that time frame. Only thing, we didn't have to share the room with strangers; which is what took place back then. We sadly didn't get to enjoy the tavern during business hours. However, we did throughly enjoy our morning breakfast in there. To celebrate my birthday, I decided to have dinner at the Chef's Table. We had our own room and personal server. Our menu was created for us for the occasion. Donna doesn't drink alcohol. I did the wine pairing with each course....
Dined on Valentines Day-special menu-Both of us enjoyed the Cheese Tray and the Individual Beef Wellingtons. We ended the meal with a Mansion House 1757 cake slice and the chocolate mousse. Chef’s skills in putting together sides, cooking the Wellington’s to a perfect temp, selecting varied cheeses for the tray, and executing the delicious deserts were not unnoticed. He’s up there. We were fortunate enough to speak with him as he took the time to visit each table (this to me displayed confidence in his staff-who also should be commended). A busy evening for the restaurant but nothing failed to impress, they never missed a beat. KUDOS!
My husband and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary at Mansion House 1757 and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our server, Kelly, was attentive and made excellent recommendations. The owner came to our table at the start of our meal to introduce himself, and he remembered us from when we called to make our reservation. We let the hostess know that we were celebrating our anniversary and they put us at a great table. The ambiance was very nice. The food was very good and it was easy to tell that it was made locally. We would definitely recommend Mansion House 1757 for a nice evening out.
This review is specifically for the restaurant. We celebrated our anniversary with a delightful dinner at Mansion House. The server was friendly and helped us choose the perfect meals. I ordered the caprese chicken and my husband had the scallops. Both dishes were exceptional as were the broccoli and mashed potatoes. Every dish was well-seasoned without being too salty. The carrot cake was one of the best we've ever tasted. Overall, we had a fantastic anniversary dinner!

Such an amazing experience. We stayed for 2 nights with our best friends and we can't imagine staying anywhere else now when we come to Gettysburg. Absolutely unique building of history, awesome! Wonderful professional staff, super friendly. Antique home with high-end amenities. Food is best I've had anywhere we travel A LOT. Its the perfect place during the Christmas Holiday to meet with family and friends. Beautiful decorated, warm and friendly staff. The crab cake and steak were made to perfection.
I am only reviewing the restaurant as we did not stay overnight. The food and service were both excellent. We will definitely be returning in the future!
