*Sigh* I really hope it was just a bad day for them, but the service left a lot to be desired. My coffee didn’t arrive until my food did. Speaking of food, my waffle was served a full 10 minutes before the rest of my meal, which consisted of bacon and eggs. The other person with me waited an additional 10 minutes after my meal arrived for theirs to come. No refills were offered, and even though we were the only two customers there, it felt like the kitchen was overwhelmed! On the bright side, I can say the food itself was quite good—except for the grits. I have NEVER seen grits like those; they looked more like cauliflower rice mixed with corn. I enjoyed the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had at Maple Bourbon! The entire dining experience was wonderful, with delicious food that I highly recommend to everyone. The location is perfect, featuring beautiful artwork right across the street and just a short stroll from attractions like the Capitol Building. I even took a walk across the river to Legends Brewing once, but I wouldn’t advise doing that on a hot day if you have to work afterward. The heat and humidity definitely made my hair much more voluminous!
The restaurant is clean and inviting, and we absolutely loved the food—the main reason we came. Based on that alone, I would give it a perfect score of 10 out of 10! The portions were just right, well-seasoned, and they made sure to get our order correct. The combination of the atmosphere, service, and food makes for a fantastic experience. I also appreciate their support of local artists by showcasing their work. Overall, it’s an awesome place that embodies southern hospitality and serves comforting food.
Maple Bourbon offers a pleasant atmosphere, affordable prices, and friendly service. However, the greeting of "Hey, you can sit anywhere!" felt a bit informal and less inviting. A warmer welcome such as "Welcome to Maple Bourbon! Please feel free to choose any seat" would make a better impression. The food was tasty, though the portions were somewhat small and a little dry. Overall, it’s a charming spot, and I hope your visit goes even better.

Amazing food and attentive staff! The team is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel right at home. The “manmosa” is delightful, and the generous portions of chicken paired with those tasty waffles are a must-try. Don't miss the Maple Bourbon syrup—it's simply divine! The grits are outstanding as well. I'm in food heaven, everyone!
The food was fantastic, but the drinks weren't great. I tried the Purple Rain cocktail, and it tasted more like sweet grape Kool-Aid. However, the Bourbon syrup was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the waffle and bacon—I could have eaten more! I will definitely return, but I'll be sticking to the food and skipping the drinks next time.
It was pretty good. The waffle with fresh strawberries was delicious. The home fries needed some seasoning, but they were a good portion. We got the maple bourbon syrup to try and the regular syrup. The maple bourbon was a bit too strong for our taste, but the regular syrup was really good. Overall, would return and I think try lunch.
Outstanding food and excellent service! Novice was a fantastic server—very helpful with recommendations and incredibly friendly. I had a wonderful experience at Maple Bourbon! I would suggest considering pitchers of mimosas; I enjoyed my glass, but a pitcher deal would be even better!
