We ate here as 3 adults for dinner. We reserved a table 2 days before and there was no issue finding space, although some times were not available. We were seated quickly at a nice table near the back. It was close to the washroom but slightly more spacious than some of the others.The menu is simple and quickly explained by the server. I don't remember if he told us his name but he was really quite good. Brief, but not curt, polite but not excessively so. My husband and I tried this restaurant for dinner on Friday, May 5th, with another couple. There were a number of delicious sounding dishes, so it was hard to select just a few to share. Our waiter recommended the Yam, Pork Belly & Wild Mushroom and suggested that we order 6-8 dishes for 4 people.We thought we'd start with 5 and see how we felt before ordering more. We also selected a bottle of wine - Tempranillo from Spain, a very nice full-bodied red.The dishes came out one by one, rather than all at once. We had a pretty great experience here. Neat little restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful, with good input as we made choices. It's a sharing/tapas place. They recommend 3-5 dishes for two people. It was a lovely, slow meal, one dish at a time. Really delicious food. The roasted Brussels were incredible, as were the mushroom noodles. I was a little surprised not having something to eat the beef tartare on (though the little chips added some crunch). Heads up that it's a bit pricier, a special occasion restaurant for us (with drinks our meal was $120, before tip). It's a tight space, so tables are relatively close together.

The food was delicious. Incredibly flavourful and presented well. Every dish was so tasty but the pork belly steamed buns and the wild mushroom pasta stood out, for us. Service was friendly and helpful. It was our first time and our server was helpful with describing each dish and pointing out some of the local favourites. The portion sizes are not overly large, but with a combination of small plates (one of each menu 'section ' for 2 people), we were more than satisfied. We will spread the word and will be back. We have eaten here twice now. Small open kitchen bistro with tasty Asian inspired small dishes best for sharing. There us a good selection of meat fish and vegetable dishes to satisfy all tastes.Everything we had was well done with great presentation. Service was a little spotty. Prices are fair for the quality. My only complaint is the wine list which is uninspired and a bit pricey but perhaps beer is a better choice. We will return next time in the city.

My wife and I came to Maque for a date night. I had heard great things about this restaurant and they were all accurate. The food was exceptional, everything was tasty and felt very fresh. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food you get, and the portion sizes are also generous. We will definitely return in the future.

I can't say much, you really just have to try it. Bring someone you want to share with and be ready to use chopsticks. It's a small place, but highly recommended. The food is very flavorful and it's a hidden gem in the city. Just keep in mind that the drink menu is limited, mostly wine, a few types of beer, and Japanese whiskey.

We ate at this restaurant on May 30th 2017. The food was amazing, the service was friendly, helpful and efficient. My husband and I are very critical when dining out. This restaurant is fantastic! The food is excellent and the service is top-notch. We sampled almost everything on the menu, and every dish was delicious. The prices are also reasonable for a high-end restaurant. We will definitely be returning to dine here again!

Came here for dinner after trying Enoteca a few months ago and it did not disappoint! Everything was really good. My favourite was the beef tartare! We'll definitely come back!
