The food at Maracas Southwest Grill was very disappointing and not authentic Mexican at all, making the name seem misleading. The rice was hard, and the items displayed looked old and dried out, as if they had been sitting all day. The prices were far too high for such poor quality. My burrito was overwhelmed with too much cilantro, and my husband’s loaded nachos were drenched in cheese sauce. I wouldn’t recommend Maracas Southwest Grill—better to choose Taco Bell or Chipotle instead. The menu definitely did not meet our expectations.
I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! I was a bit unsure about what to order, but the staff recommended the loaded nachos, and I’m so glad I followed their advice. I loaded them up with plenty of toppings, and every bite was absolutely delicious. I also tried a Tamarind Jarritos, which I find to be quite rare and really tasty. Plus, there’s a selection of hot sauces available in small containers for you to choose from, which is a nice added feature.
I visited the restaurant last night with my mom. The staff at the counter were incredibly friendly. Since I'm quite particular about my food, Sophie was remarkably patient while taking my complicated order. The food was absolutely delicious. I drove all the way from Ronkonkoma to try something new, and it was definitely worth it!
Absolutely ridiculous. I placed an order over the phone and went to pick it up, only to find that they hadn't even made five of the items. The store was empty, yet there were three employees behind the counter. I had to wait for 10 minutes, and the entire floor was sticky and dirty. To top it off, the food wasn't even that great.

The beans were cold and as hard as a rock. I decided to give this place a chance, but it turned out to be one of the worst decisions I've ever made. The Philly cheesesteak empanada was cold, lacked flavor, and had no cheese whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here.
The burrito was extremely disappointing. I ordered a steak burrito and received it with only four small pieces of steak. It was overpriced at $14, and I definitely won’t be returning. Save your money and choose somewhere else.
I make the trip specifically for this restaurant. It's truly exceptional—far better than any other spot in the Babylon, West Islip, or Bay Shore area. The staff is always welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable.

My fiancé and I visited Maracas today and were thoroughly impressed. The staff was extremely courteous, and the food was outstanding. We can't wait to return soon!
The burrito was fantastic. The tacos were delicious, and the loaded fries were absolutely mouthwatering. So good!
