We were out for dinner at another Windsor spot a while ago and the waiter there mentioned his favorite restaurant was this one. We kept that in our minds for a later date.Well, the time arrived when we could go. The outside is a bit unappealing but once you are inside the atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. As this was our first time eating Ethiopian food we asked the waiter, who was very cordial, for a suggestion. He suggested the half veggie and half meat platter. We obliged. The fish arrived along with the inerja bread and we tore off some pieces of bread and dug right in. And wow, from the first bite it was like a dance across my palate. The spices were wonderfully blended and the food was tasty and filling. This is an absolute treasure in Windsor and you need to discover it. Get out of your box and go for it. We were so glad we did.

Warning: This review comes from a highly biaised individual. I have been a regular of the Marathon for over 10 years now. I need my monthly Ethiopian fix. Especially the veggie combo over injerah. The veggies are always fresh, authentic and perfectly spiced. The injerah is cooked just before it is served.Sometimes, we cannot stay in to eat, so a takeout does the trick. The dinner takeout is slightly different, in the sense that there is no salad (in case one needs to reheat the dish). The only possible drawback is that since everything is cooked fresh, there may be a bit of a waiting period if the restaurant is busy. However, in those cases, just kick back, relax, and enjoy your company.

Family went to see the year-end St. Clair College show, and thought we would try something a little different for dinner. The place looks a little modest from the outside, but the food was really first rate. The server made some excellent suggestions for the meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed all the selections. The drink selection is limited, but the quality of the food (and the price!) make this place a keeper!

My sister and I have always wanted to try this place for the past few years and have just never gone until tonight. Super glad we finally gave it a try, it was awesome. Cool atmosphere, friendly server and good food. Injera bread was tasty and interesting haha! I would definitely come try again, there's so much on the menu I'd like to try!
