I recently dined at this pub and tried their Sunday roast for the first time. We ordered the lamb and a vegan roast, both of which were the best we have ever had. The flavors were indescribably delicious. My friend even said it was the best vegan meal she has ever had at a restaurant. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming. The delightful food and excellent service truly made our day. Thank you! This is definitely a 10/10 experience.
This incredibly beautiful pub stashed away from the city centre comes with a real relaxed atmosphere. The interior has been well kept and the place is clean. The staff are friendly and chatty and a great selection of beers. We did not try the food but it looked good. There is an outdoor space available for the good weather.
Worth walking the slight extra distance to get to. A gorgeous example of Victorian pub architecture. Staff know their beer and give good advice if you're after it. Lots of great Marble beers on tap. A roaring fire on a cold day. Lovely local, friendly feel.

Great dining experience, a bit on the pricey side. They went out of their way to accommodate a friend with dietary restrictions, which made her very pleased. The large beer was also a hit with our resident stout expert. Highly recommend!
Great food and beers. Friendly staff. Going back again tomorrow evening....... Went back the following evening, not disappointed. I wish I could pick up the pub and the staff and take it back to Southampton so it could be my local!
I just went with my sister, her family, and our two dogs, Polo and Peanut. We had a wonderful afternoon. We enjoyed some guest beers along with a big burger and chunky chips that were delicious!
