Very disappointed experience. To begin, the seating in the bar area was extremely uncomfortable, not in the sense of the furniture, but in the sense that it is a very long open booth arrangement along the wall, with tiny tables set up very close together. As a result of the closeness to strangers, everyone had to speak in a whisper so as not to be heard by others. The tables are very small as well, offering no room for food and drinks. My wife and I visit on occasion and every visit leaves us wanting more. We were going to try a different restaurant for this Valentine season, and when we searched around and reviewed menus, we decided to just make our reservations again with Marblehead chowder House. You just can’t go wrong coming here for professional service and an excellent experience. Rating is 10 stars !
Took some time off from here due to some not so likable service we had. I’m very glad we came back. Laura was very pleasant and attentive. Food was great as always. Had an end cut of prime rib, excellent!! Will return soon.
The staff are very friendly and the hostess gets you seated in a timely fashion. And the food portion are great,and good tasting.
