Marco Polo - Reserva de mesa

We arrived without a reservation and the owner found us a table for two. Wine is served by the glass or bottle and is a good wine list. The house red wine is excellent. Our food was very nice (we both had pasta dishes) which were very well flavoured and fresh (often I find pasta dishes can be overpowered by rich tomato sauces, but the pasta we ate was very pleasantly cooked and flavoured.). We normally try to eat local food and used this restaurant as we arrived in the town late and they were able to seat us. However, if you like Italian food, then I would suggest you could do a lot worse ! We would certainly go back.

I've had better pizzas delivered by courier. The pizza although fresh had that rubbery feel to the base you get from delivery services. Gross. I understand other dishes are quite ok so not all bad. Located in an old cellar with little in the way of accoustic damping it got quite loud and it was difficult to hold a conversation without shouting

Great Italian food and good service. The portions and prices are fair and the location is great. Its a bit hard to find as its in a wine cellar, but glad we tried it! Accommodated our party of 11 people which was hard to find for the area.

My wife and I visit Herrenberg 2 or 3 times a year and at least one visit to the Marco Polo restaurant is an absolute must.
