The two employees were observed spending more time on their phones and engaging in personal hygiene habits, such as scratching their faces and adjusting their glasses. They also handled rubbish and served food without proper hygiene practices. When I brought this up quietly, the employee serving me seemed annoyed but washed their hands before returning to serve my order. I noticed that I received fewer fish fillets than others who ordered before me, which seemed like a deliberate decision. Despite witnessing similar issues on a previous visit, I chose not to make a fuss. It is concerning that such practices continue, especially given the emphasis on hygiene during the recent pandemic.
We ordered over £70 worth of food, fish, scampi, white puddings , sausage, burger, and pizza, all suppers. I have never ever seen such stingy portions, my chips were hiding under the fish and believe me that would be difficult as the fish was one side of a haddock, and the slimest, thinest haddock I Have ever seen, fish fingers are bigger. We were all still hungry after eating the smallest portions know to man. That is one chipper we will never use again, not that long ago you used to get a fish and a half, sometimes 2 fish, but half a fish and a dozen or so chips, shocking
Marcos extremely stingy with there portions £3.80 for chips what a joke defo starving afterwards the portions where so small would na even fill a spider totally pathetic portion went there for years worst stingiest portion I've ever had won't be gone back people don't waste your money go elsewhere at least you will get full portions seriously go else where people don't waste your money on Arbroath Marco chippy
My daughter purchased several orders of fish and chips for a birthday celebration. The fish at this restaurant is usually very good, but unfortunately, it was dry and overcooked that evening. None of us could eat it all. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. It was a complete waste of money. We will stick to going to the Monifeith chip shop in the future.

What can I say, went here with the missus for a decent Arbroath chipper tea. It didn't disappoint. Big portions, cooked well, good value. Nothing like sitting on the harbour front, watching the boats with a good chipper. I'd recommend it. The ice cream place next door is good too.
Asked my sister in law who lives in Monifieth where we should go for fish and chips after arriving from Australia and Marcos was the response. Excellent fish supper with mushy peas and a mandatory can of iron bru sat on the harbour wall. Absolutely delicious! A happy chappy
Went to Marco's for real fish and chips (Haddock) great portions, super fresh, fair price. there is also a selection of soft drinks to compliment the meal. you can also sit outside beside the harbour to enjoy the meal.
I visit this venue frequently. Recently the chips are not worth what's charged. It cost £8.90 for a fish supper. You'd be just as well to buy the fish and microwave some chips from Tesco.

I had the most delicious crispy fries I have ever tasted, and I have tried quite a few in my lifetime! We sat by the harbor and indulged in a Marco's ice cream for dessert.
Had two portions of chip tasted awful no taste like eating toffee looks and taste like old chips from the night before .
