MARGOT - Reserva de mesa

My partner and I and our son spent a few days in Mirmande on our way to Antibles and the hotel recommended we try Margot. We are vegetarian and the hotel host called ahead and ask that the chef assist us with vegetarian meals. Very...small town allowing us to walk a few blocks to the restaurant. The hostess was so friendly and sat us on the terrace overlooking the street with a view of the mountains. The waitress spoke English, which helped quite a bit in this town. We ate here both nights of our stay at Mirmande Hotel. The village is super cute and the entire experience was a delight. After months of eating out in our journey through Europe, we sat down to the menu de jour on our first night and were blown away, it was better quality than anything in Michelin rated restaurants we had on the Rivera the week prior and the price was very palatable. We were equally happy with our selection the second evening. Our host - Manu works hard waiting on the tables singlehandedly in his establishment and is obviously very proud of what he has created. We look forward to dining at "Au 35" in Paris next week (another of Manu's establishments)!

If you want to waste your money (we wasted €205) then dine here! True that it’s set in a beautiful French village but all that is inconsequential when you meet the steely, rude and arrogant woman in charge. From the moment we arrived the ambience...was cold and disagreeable and it remained so throughout. The starters arrived and one of the components was missing and then the waitress brought it after my colleagues had finished their meal. The mains we just very average, and the desserts again poorly executed. All in all we would never ever return and seriously if you’re interested in good food and service then avoid at all costs! Rubbish! Rude, aggressive.

Whilst touring the hilltop villages in Le Drome, France we chanced upon this little gem. Obviously very popular with the locals it was almost full, but madame found a nice little table. The food was really excellent as was the service. Price of that day's menu was as attached and just right. We would strongly recommend this little restaurant. A uniquely French village with a quality high class restaurant which because of its class seemed a little out of place. However, the food and wine were first rate. The hosts were friendly and attentive and the pace of the meal was the typical French experience. On a tiny High St the spectacle of Swifts displaying their aerial prowess just added to the atmosphere. Go there.

excellent cuisine! One of the best in all our years of travel in France. Remarkable as Mirmande is a tourist destination...a lovely village, labelled one of the most beautiful in France. Beautiful terrace. Friendly service. The Côte d'Agneau with mushrooms and sweet patatoe was almost cold when served. Fortunately, we were not asked to drink something so that we could limit the costs to EUR 19.50 per person. What was still too much for what we... forgot.

We stayed one night in the beautiful Mirmande and had a wonderful meal at the Restaurant Margot. The environment is fantastic and the food was very good. The staff was nice and accommodating, which made our visits very pleasant.

This is an excellent restaurant in a quiet village street just round the corner from the Hotel de Mirmande where we were staying. We ate at one of the tables by the side of the street... memorable!
