Exquisite old world seafood decor serves first class dishes in classic style. Very recommended for those who like the best ingredients with Italian simplicity and fine. The service by formally dressed staff (as refreshing in otherwise over informal Rio) is top. The wine list is not extensive, but the wines I had were all selected professionally, including the choices by the glass. Totally awesome!! Upon entering the fabulous restaurant. my date and I knew we hit the jackpot . I don 't know where to begin, but let me try...The Madame of Margutta was super-attentive as she treated us [and everyone there] like royalty. The wait staff led ny NETO was one of the best I 've experienced in my lifetime of worldwide dining. Last, but definitely not least, the food was absolutely deeeelicious!! Hand-made Margherita Pizza for 2 to melt-in-your mouth Linguine w/seafood was [and still is] simply the best. I shall return again again again...I felt so good after the meal and wine, that I started singing Italian opera..... 100% FACTS!

An exquisite, delicious, mouth-watering lunch with my sister and Level 10 years niece, Ana Carolina, a true food that has an educated range. We started with pizza bronco, the super thin, crispy pizza dough with parmesan cheese. Mozzarella di Milanese, cracked cheese in a light tomato sauce. My sister and I share Polnta al funghi and Spaghetti ao vongole. The Polnta creamy and rich, with a nozzle of truffle oil. We finished with two desserts, tiramisu (very good, all the time favorite is in Le Segrete in Rome) and Brigadeiro ao chocolate, chocolate truffle in a spoon!! A restaurant with such a price tag should definitely be serving masterchef style food or at least present a menu totally out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, Margutta presents a familiar style of food very similar to popular restaurants from Brazil, more especially Rio de Janeiro, such as Degrau, for instance. Servings are very big, quality is definitely there, I cannot say I was unhappy with the food all the times I've been there, what I can say is, for what you pay here you can find very unusual and groundbreaking culinary experiences elsewhere.

Probably the best Italian restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. Staff are polite and service is First Class. The menu is a pleasure, catering for every taste. I especially find the spagetti neroni that never fails to be the first class with the combination of pasta, shrimp, paprika etc. Recently I tried the catch of the day in a Neroni style. Incredibly fresh fish, a wonderful option.

Fui ao Margutta por indicação de uma amiga, o restaurante é muito bom, fica em uma rua que dá para estacionar tranquilo, e pedi o prato da boa lembrança, foi uma massa com salmão, que estava deliciosa R$ 89,00 recomendou muito. E tomei Cerpa R$ 12,00.

Food is pretty good, with a lot of variety and many seafood dishes. Service is good. Quiet, elegant and formal kind of atmosphere, although they didn't say anything with me wearing a tank top. Not cheap but seems reasonable for a fine dining place. Reserva una mesa ahora

Really good. You have really good food. They do it with love. The mozarella and tomato sauce is the best for me. Since Tomate Sauce is soooo good!!!! Your Tiramiso and Brigadeiro is really good!!!!

Special quaint place. Wish there was a greater glutten free selection and children's plate. We came for the Boa Lembrança!!
