This Michelin recognized restaurant is a beautifully decorated smaller restaurant. We went with a larger group of 11, so definitely needed a reservation. The food was phenomenal we were fortunate, that with so many of us, we got to taste so much on the menu. Apps: Truffle green beans, (Japanese) BBQ ribs, fava beans, pickled eggplant, eggplant fries, olive cheese plate, and Collabra dried peppers were some I got to try. All very tasty. My charred octopus was tender tasty. My husband’s premium pork chop. Parmesan was also very good. Very nice little Italian restaurant with tasty, elevated food, good cocktails, and solid service.Highly recommend the smoked rosemary negroni for a cocktail. It’s very unique, not too sweet, and just very nice drink.I had the baked clams to start. A half dozen dressed nicely and buttery yummy.For a main course, I went with pasta and did the gnocchi with short rib ragu. I loved gnocchi’s texture and savory flavor. The short rib was tender and tasty, though the flavor of the ragu wasn’t quite to my taste (it was nicely done, just a bit sweeter than I prefer).All-in-all, this is a great place for some solid Italian.

I'm not sure how this restaurant has a five-star rating. I visited last week and was not impressed. First, our waitress seemed to be putting on an act when it came to friendliness; it felt forced, and she was slow to attend to us. We ended up having to ask the busboys for things instead. Second, the food was overpriced—I ordered the chicken scarp, and the presentation was messy, with the chicken tasting mediocre at best. Lastly, the restaurant was uncomfortably hot, almost as if the air conditioning wasn't working at all. I don't think I'll be returning.

We went for our daughter’s graduation lunch and the reservations changed a few times. I know the restaurant is usually busy and thought we were going to walk into a snobby atmosphere, especially due to our multiple changes… I was so wrong!They were exceptionally accommodating, friendly and helpful! They didn’t make my teens feel like little kids and the service was impeccable. The food came out quickly and for the 7 people, including VERY picky teen girls, everyone was happy! Maria Restaurant is by far the best restaurant in New Rochelle. I hosted my rehearsal dinner at Maria and it was the best experience possible. All of my guests, including myself, loved their food as well as drinks. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the owner Giovanni is a pleasure to work with. I could not recommend this restaurant more for a lunch or dinner out with friends and family, or for a private event. I have visited the restaurant numerous times and every experience was exceptional.

I wouldn't suggest dining here on a night when it's 90 degrees. The restaurant was extremely hot, to the point where we couldn’t fully enjoy our meal. We were eager to pay the bill and leave. They attributed the heat to the weather, but it seemed like the air conditioning was broken. The food was decent, but it lacked seasoning, and our server was not very welcoming. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5.

The food is good on most days but there could be significant improvement with consistency in the quality and quantity of the food. There are days that you will get a very decent healthy portion that is consistent with expectations and other days you are a little disappointed. Other than that, very good food.

I went out for dinner with a friend and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. Although our waiter took a bit longer to check in on us at times, it didn’t detract from our overall enjoyment. I highly recommend this place! Food: 5/5 Reserva una mesa ahora
