We Enjoyed a late Monday afternoon lunch of delicious pizza ? . Liked it so much we brought a chicken parm sub home for dinner. Loved the location and enjoyed watching a horse run around in the field across the street. Restaurant was so clean and had plenty of seating in multiple dining rooms, had great drink selections(a variety of Stewart products- birch beer, root beer, cream soda) and many menuOptions. Pizza was really good with great flavored sauce and cheese blend. The chicken parm had diced, breaded chicken cutlet so it was easy to eat. Chicken was tender with great sauce and generous amount of cheese. The owner Ralph was very helpful and we received great service.
I don't go out for Italian very often. I was glad someone chose Maria Rosa. I had chicken Alfredo. The pasta was perfect and the sauce was quite good. Others at the table had delicious looking pizza and a pasta dish with mussels. Dining room was nothing fancy but quite comfortable. They also have a nice outdoor dining space in the rear.
I've been enjoying pizza from this place for decades, even though I moved away a long time ago. I recently visited family from out of town and finally had a chance to treat my kids to one of the best pizzas we've ever had. The sauce really makes the pie stand out. Enjoy it—you won't be disappointed!
Everything I've tried at this place has been fantastic. Having lived in South Philly for years, I can confidently say that their pizza is among the best I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend Maria Rosa. Just look at this meatball parmesan I had yesterday!

First l, Ralph could not be nicer! Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Great cheese blend and sauce and the perfect combination of crisp crust with chew to it.
