A beloved family-owned restaurant in Sidney that never disappoints. My go-to dish is the falafel, which is always fantastic, and the calamari is perfectly crispy—neither greasy nor bland. While the skewers are tasty, they don’t make for a filling meal, so I recommend opting for the souvlaki instead. It’s an excellent spot for a quick à la carte meal, whether you choose to eat in or take your order to enjoy by the ocean (or even grab something for the ferry!). The atmosphere is casual and clean, and the patio is a lovely option during the summer months. Came here randomly with my 6 year old daughter on a quick trip through Sidney. The place is cute, nothing fancy and you order up front at the ‘bar’. The selection is good and decent prices too. I ordered myself a chicken souvlaki wrap with half a Greek salad and some popcorn shrimp for my daughter.<br/ Everything came out quickly and service was good, but again, simple, as you order and pay at the bar.<br/ <br/ The Greek salad was OK But way too full of raw white onions which I couldn’t stomach. The wrap was really tasty but a little too much sauce, it made it a little messy. I’m somewhat hesitant to share this gem of a restaurant because it truly is fantastic. While the decor is just decent, don’t let that deter you—the food is nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere has a warm, family-oriented vibe, complete with an outdoor seating area, and in the winter, a cozy fireplace inside to keep the chilly dampness away. But really, it's all about the food. The dishes are so impressive that even the Greek gods would be proud! From calamari to souvlaki, I honestly don’t think you’ll find a better Greek restaurant in Greater Victoria. Take the time to visit this place; if there’s a line, it’s worth the wait. If the Greek gods would approve, so will you. Opa!

Be prepared; after tasting the tomatoes here, you'll find it hard to enjoy them anywhere else! Maria really curates the finest produce! The waffle fries are a must-try, and I love the generous portion of feta in their Greek salad! Great souvlaki. The meat is tender and the pita is really good. The ingredients are very fresh.<br/ <br/ The donair isn't as good, but it's still pretty good. I've had better before. Waffle fries are tasty as well.<br/ <br/ Prices are acceptable.

Good Food But.... I have been to Maria's many times for souvlaki and other items. The calamari us getting to be on the greasy side. Last couple of times, the calamari had a puddle of oil at the bottom of the plate.

Good little Greek place, always hot fresh food. Always go here when i'm craving calamari. For the price it's a really good value on what you get. Make sure to check this place out if you're in the area!
