Whenever we come to Cairns, we always come here for our Indian food fix. Friendly and efficient service matched by mouth-wateringly tasty dishes - what a combination. It wasn't so crowded this time so we got to chat with the maitre'd and learned we had a shared interest in history which led us to having our first ever vindaloo to check out the Portuguese influence on Indian cooking (vinegar and potatoes in Goa). Contrary to its feared reputation of being too hot and spicy, it really wasn't that bad, in fact it was deliciously warm and delicious. So glad he recommended it. Marinades has only the best food with authentic Indian spices, and well trained chefs. We've had family dinners including 21st birthdays there since 2000. Also organised work events there with rave reviews. It's our families' favourite!!
Glad We made this decision to try this restaurant. Me and my hubby had murg kadai nd rice,naan. Everything was cooked to perfection and taste was authentic indian. Great environment and fast customer service. Gud value for $$$$

We were in Cairns for a vacation with our extended family. Some vegetarians, some non-vegetarians, some spicy eaters and some mild. Great tasting food with many options for everyone.
