As several other reviews had said the food here is simple home made dishes but high quality and cheap. Subsequently can get very busy. I found this place and just intended to have a beer (they have great range on draft and bottled inc various...beers from Augustiner my favourite) but when I saw the menu I had to have the excellent Senfeier (eggs in mustard sauce with mashed potatoes). I loved it so much went back the next day each day there is a different menu so the eggs were not on but had an equally good lasagne. We pitched up bang on 12pm and there was no need to pre book. The actual place has a fairly basic feel with beer hall bench seating and limited decor. We waited sometime to get our first drink but after that service speeded up and...became friendly and attentive. The food was very good and large portions. Excellent Grünkohl and Kasseler dish and a very sizeable Goulash. Beetroot carpaccio starter was also delicious. This is not fine dining and doesn't pretend to be but good honest hearty and tasty. The Beer is the icing!!
This is an amazing authentic German bar kitchen. Been lots of times. Team are so friendly. Beer is good mainly Bavarian. Always like going back when I’m Hamburg. Feels like my local pub. Located in the city centre approximately 5 10 minutes walk from...the town hall (Rathaus). A great place to relax drink. Outside seating in summer too. Can be really busy at times. A popular place to eat for locals tourists. Definitely my favourite bar in the city. Always 10 10 from me.
This unassuming pavement (and indoor) restaurant serves tasty well presented food at very reasonable prices. Service was efficient (we waited less than ten minutes for our main course to arrive) and always with a smile and kind words. English is spoken here for those with...no German. I whole heartily recommend this gaststatte to you which is within one minute walking distance from either Stadhausbrucke S or Rodngsmarkt U train stations.

Just a small entrance that could be easily be missed we were lucky enough to find this hidden gem. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu wasn't in English but they were happy to translate and also offer their recommendations. The food was...amazing. Presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. Despite a minimalist look inside the atmosphere was buzzing
They call matijes the fish marinated they eat and it is extremely delicious if good quality. We intro due it to my friends and they appreciate the taste and the nice atmosphere of Marinehof. Hamburg never disappoint me, the only city in Germany I really...love.
The restaurant serves good and simple German dishes at very reasonable prices. Service is fast. Decor is very simple and the restaurant is quite noisy. Credit cards not accepted.
