Marios' Cafe - Reserva de mesa

This Italian place has been in this neighborhood for many years and it seems always popular, both for dinner and lunch. Once I walked past and saw some guy was having some purple stuff. It looked bizarre but also seemed delicious. When I finally visited Marios, I ordered a plate of beet risotto (which I thought was the purple stuff\ff I saw) and it was delicious.They do not have a big menu but usually have interesting dishes. Unfortunately, when I passed by again the following month, the beet risotto had been removed from the menu.

Thanks Mario and (young) Jo for your warm welcome when we called in for an afternoon drink. So impressed that we chose to return for dinner. The Calamari, Tomato, Spinach, Chilli and Garlic Spaghetti scored 10/10 as did the Veal with Lemon and Capers. Bellissimo. Tiramisu was the best!!Authentic Italian Cuisine in Brunswick. Even better than Lygon St, so no wonder it's a favourite with the Celebrities!!Will definitely return on our next visit to Melbourne.

This bustling little cafe is a perfect stop for breakfast...and I'm pretty sure it would be good any time of the day! Mario warmly welcomed and seated us and we were well taken care of. Our breakfast selections were super yummy, fresh and hot. Coffee was excellent. We sat in a window and enjoyed watching the Fitzroy neighbors pass by. Wonderful!

Resto agréable, bien rempli le samedi soir, situé tout près de l'arrêt du tram. L'accueil est professionnel, on est servi rapidement. Il y a un choix de plats simples d'un bon rapport qualité prix, les pennes étaient bonnes mais j'ai trouvé les lasagnes pâteuses, un peu trop cuites. Reserva una mesa ahora

Nice little place open early for breakfast. Don't expect coffee anyway you like, no fancy milks. Mandarin juice was great. Breakfast choices multiple - something for everyone. Well priced.

This place is an institution. Staff are great. Food really good. Great value. If you live in Melbourne or visiting you must eat here at least once in your life.
