The sandwich included grilled zucchini, what looked like summer squash, a few pieces of bell pepper, and a large amount of roasted onion. While I understand the appeal of using seasonal ingredients since they tend to be tastier and more cost-effective, then the menu should accurately reflect the ingredients being used and adjust the prices accordingly. Zucchini is indeed listed, but it does not compare in value to portobello mushrooms, meaning I effectively paid for something I didn't receive. As someone with allergies, I find it concerning that a restaurant would be so indifferent about their offerings not matching their ingredient list. I recently dined at Pantry, located in Long Island City, and I must say that my experience was far from satisfactory. The restaurant's exterior and display seemed enticing, so my friend and I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we were met with overpriced, oily food that did not meet our expectations.To begin with, the menu did not display any prices. In hindsight, we should have asked for the prices, but we didn't anticipate the cost to be as exorbitant as it turned out to be. I came across Pantry Market Eatery while looking for small, local businesses to provide some coffee and pastries for an indie film shoot in Queens. The folks over at Pantry Market Eatery were so nice, helpful, and incredibly generous in giving us a greatdiscount for our low budget film shoot. Thanks to Ari and the rest of the team, we were well-caffeinated and well-fed for a longshoot day. Definitely recommend if you?re looking to work with an affordable yet professional team, love supporting localbusinesses, or if you just want to drop by for a coffee and treat. As a local who frequents the area, I used to order breakfast and lunch from this delightful spot quite often. The staff has always been extremely attentive and friendly, creating a warm atmosphere. Their salads have consistently been fresh and enjoyable.However, over time, I've observed a decline in both the quality and quantity of the food, which has led to less frequent visits. Despite these changes, I continue to appreciate this establishment and hope they can regain their consistency in quality. I recently tried the Santa Fe salad, Jackson Heights wrap, and steak wrap, and I was really impressed! The wraps and salad were delicious. The Santa Fe salad was packed with tasty ingredients and came in a generous portion. I especially loved the balsamic reduction dressing; it had a nice balance of lightness and tanginess without being overly sweet. This place is definitely a good option for lunch or a quick dinner to-go, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the ingredients!
