The spot is a little hidden gem ! This Mexican restaurant has been at this location for about three years. I go down the street every single day and did not see it until I seen a sign that was in back of a truck in the parking lot so the next morning, which was today I stopped by and had some Menudo , we also ordered 2 shrimp tacos and one pancake for the kiddos ! I was heading to a meeting and checked out some restaurants in the area. The high ratings led me to this place, and it was a fantastic choice! I ordered the Costa Azul plate and finished every last bit, which is unusual for me since I usually don't finish beans and rice, but they were that delicious. I also tried a shrimp taco, and wow, I can’t wait to come back to try the shrimp and gobernador tacos. The batter on the fish taco was outstanding! Now, I'm having the coco flan for the first time, and it's incredible. Even after all that I've eaten, the food doesn't feel heavy at all. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients.
We experienced food poisoning after eating at this restaurant. My girlfriend ordered the Menudo and got very sick from it; I also tried some and fell ill as well. She spent the next few days dealing with vomiting, diarrhea, cramps, stomach pain, and nausea. When I called to address the issue, the woman who answered said she couldn't provide her name and advised me to call the manager in four days when they would be in. While the Menudo had a decent taste, it seemed like it might have been old, possibly recycled from previous days. I would urge anyone dining here to be cautious and check the quality of their food as it is served.
I've had the pleasure of meeting the owner and the head chef a few times, and they are both incredibly nice, professional, and friendly. During my visit today, I was assisted by a young lady named Claudia, who also provided excellent service—she was pleasant and very professional.
I always recommend Marlin to anyone looking for a fantastic Mexican restaurant in the Cerritos Artesia area. It's always a pleasure to dine here, and I look forward to coming back soon. Thank you so much!

Friendly service. I came for the fish and shrimp tacos. First time here and wow. Why have I never been here? Slapping myself for getting tacos elsewhere. Definitely coming back! I had a churro cream, it was sour cream... I expected something like a vanilla cream but oddly enough the combination reminded me of a cheesecake. The sweet and tart was solid.
So we live in La Palma and wanted some real Mexican food and did not feel like driving to Anaheim. Found this place in Artesia not far and I have to say the food is delicious. We had the mixed ceviche and the carne asada and it was full of flavor and very tasty. This place is a must try. Great service too. I will be ba k soon.
They are the best aesthetic restaurant I've ever been to. I'm from Iowa. I've lived here five years now and this is but got to be the best restaurant I've gone to and the people are very very patient and polite. Keep up the good work you guys God bless my name is Donnetta Eveland.
