I made a reservation at this restaurant weeks in advance through a booking website. However, I encountered several issues leading up to my reservation date. Initially, I received a message stating that my payment card could not be accepted. After trying to make contact with the restaurant through various methods, I was unable to confirm my booking or receive any assistance. I stayed overnight during a short biking trip. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment, but they informed me in advance, so it was not a problem as there were plenty of other dining options nearby. However, breakfast was still available and it was delicious. My room was perfect - spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable with a beautiful bathroom. The bed was large enough for someone my height (6'3) and I loved the absence of a TV, opting instead for good quality Wi-Fi. I appreciated the peace and quiet in the lovely surroundings. What a shamble of a pub. Drove nearly half hour to be somewhere where they don’t care about you whatsoever. At one point one young waiter realised that we were waiting long time for food and eventually we got it. Reason for two stars and not one is because my roast lamb was really tender and cooked perfectly. I hope they hire someone who is as passionate as the chef so this pub can fly again!! Until then I won’t coming back!

Had booked a room in this pub as a birthday gift for my partner (along with wine tasting at the nearby vineyard) but have been contacted today to let me know that my booking is cancelled as it is closing for a short period. Very disappointed to be told this last minute and now cannot find anywhere close by to stay.

I always love taking a trip to the Martins Arms for a drink and a bite to eat. I've been trying some of their tapas dishes and I must say, they have been pretty good.
