There is no better Indian restaurant in the area. We love the food at Masala. It’s always delicious. We usually get take out, but last weekend decided to meet friends there. We don’t find the ambiance very pleasing. It feels almost like a cafeteria. The lighting is really bright and the music somewhat unpleasing while dining. The young servers are certainly kind and courteous, but we felt rushed. They could use further training in the proper way to serve and remove dishes from a table. There’s no need to reach across the table, in front of someone to clear a plate and then drop silverware on the diner. Again, the food is fantastic!
As if often the case with buffets, the chicken was a bit dry, and the goat curry had almost no goat in it. The thing that really annoyed me is that they do not service hot tea or coffee. Their only non-alcoholic beverage is water or ice tea.
excellent visit, for curry officianados you will know that Nepalese quisene is a little different from the run of the mill, great find in McLean will certainly be going back
I have taken three different groups of friends there and will introduce still more. It is really a very good Indian restaurant.

Best Indian food in the area, including DC! Really have a great buffet. And wait staff is very friendly as well.
I go well out of my way to eat here, the food is fantastic! The service has always been excellent, too.
We had a very large family group and Masala was very accommodating. The food was delicious!
great local indian. the steamed dumpling appetizer from Kasmir was particularly good.

American style food. Did not taste like Indian food. Staff was very nice though.
We got the lunch buffet, the food “ok”. It wasn’t that hot the bread was stale.
