I used to love this restaurant but it has really gone downhill. The food was exorbitantly expensive for very small portions of poorly prepared food. I ordered a prawn risotto that was highly overcooked with only two prawns that contained sand and pieces of stones. Other members of my family received tiny portions of undercooked food. No salt or pepper on the table, no bread or olive oil and no parmesan offered with the pasta for us or any of the other diners. While our waitress was lovely and clearly run off her feet, our dining experience was totally ruined by her supervisor yelling at her while she was at our table, barking instructions and criticising her for no reason. Best pizza in Bordeaux! Awesome crust with great tasting and fresh ingredients. I had the truffle-flavored pizza which really tasted like truffle, along with Parmesan and porcini mushrooms (they were very nice to accommodate a substitution to make it vegetarian). Could have been the best pizza of my life!!! My husband had the diavolo pizza with pepperoni, peppers and olives, which he also loved. The kids had awesome bunny-shaped kid-sized cheese pizzas. All of our plates were completely empty at the end of this great meal!
We just returned from this delightful trattoria and we could not have had a nicer experience. The veal Milanese was outstanding and the pizza diavolo was flavorful and did not disappoint! The best part, however, was our interaction with the staff. They were, to a person, welcoming, attentive and fun. We recommend this restaurant as a good value, reasonably priced and worth the visit!
A cosy neighbourhood pizzeria when you need a break from foie gras and canard. Friendly helpful staff, a good Neapolitan style pizza. I had Di Mare, covered with fresh mussels and baby clams in the shell and a large fresh gamba, or prawn. The pasta dishes looked pretty good too. Reasonable price. A selection of Italian wines by the glass, 500ml, or full bottle.

The best pizza in Bordeaux. Great wine list. It is pricey for what it is but if you stay within the confines of just having some pizza and red wine you won't get a shock. Avoid the fluffy entrees and stick with the authentic offers..the pizza with italian sausage and wilted broccoli leaves is to die for!!!!!!.
We've frequently visited Masaniello in the last 3 years. There has been a change in the last months,.May be a new owner? The pizza is terrible now. We've confirmed this twice. What a pity.... It hurts in the italian soul.Warning: If you want a decent pizza, go somewhere else!
The food was good, nothing to write home about. The service was ok, we had to keep reminding our waiter to bring us water because he kept forgetting. The food was good, but nothing life changing.
the service is extremely poor - overworked waiters, over an hour and a half wait and rude reply when asked the waiter about food. will be the last time I return.

The pizza is excellent, the base is thin and crisp and there is not too much topping. Definitely worth a visit
Came here for lunch. Good pizza, efficient service. Baby/child seats available. Try the home-made tiramisu.
