Yesterday we completed our world meeting held in hamburg. for me the first time in mash. the reception and attention of the staff was excellent and excellent. the same applies to the wee collection, the service competence and we felt great. the food was delicious and the whole impression fantastic... but: at the end we were forgotten and unattended. this place should be a first-class restaurant. ambiente and service are also reflecting this ... but only until the group had finished dinner. suddenly no one came to try to refill empty glasses, ask for more or other drinks or to deliver the wee out of the opened bottles. twice I measured the time until someone noticed us (group of 23!) - 21 min...
we had a table on Sunday night. we were an hour too late, we called and it was in order. when we arrived at 20 o'clock, they had reserved one table at the window for us. the mash hamburg is located in a beautiful environment directly on the water. the staff was polite. we order a bark fillet (medium fried) and a hook-ripe rib eye (medium). both with bearnaise and pommes frites plus 2 glasses red wine - we were a little uncertain which we wanted to take, so we could taste 2 different wee before we decided. for the food you had to wait a bit. but it was really good to eat. the steaks were cooked on the spot, eating was still hot and very tasty overall.The only thing that pulled us down and sur...
We got there at 20:00 for our reservation. The waiting line was so long already. We then were taken to our table where we had to wait for a waiter to come and take our order. The waiter said we have a delay because of a system shutdown and food will be 20 mins late, which was ok for us. We left at 22:30 without having dinner! Food was never served! It would have been much better to tell people at the door that you can’t serve them tonight. It was my husband’s birthday and it got ruined! Thanks to Mash! Horrible experience.
meat, drinks and service are good. prices are high, even in comparison to london for example. 47 euro per 50 gramm Wagyu-Rind are required. I have decided for the nearly 60 euro expensive Uruguay steak. good quality, well prepared. presentation pretty easy. I will enjoy my wagyu back in Cape Town for a quarter of the price (although I must admit that it could be another wagyu than what mash offers). I would definitely come back and recommend it, but if they are price-sensitive, they will stay away.

service was excellent. appetizer very tasteful and great dressed. also drink. the steaks were good; however, the very high price was not justified. there are other steak houses with the same quality at half price.Whoever wants this particular certainly a good choice (always the high prices hold a certain kind of clientele); a mixed picture.
the steak was perfectly prepared, but even better was the sauce bearnaise. we were the first time at mash, but surely not the last time
