We came here for lunch, thanks to all the reviews on TripAdvisor and we certainly didn 't regret it.. This large modern mock-Catalan 'farmhouse ' is two minutes from Reus airport where we´ve been coming for years from the Bajo Aragon to pick up our son and daughter and it 's been a real discovery which makes the 4 hour round trip a lot more enjoyable! The ´weekend 'Menu Especial ' at 24 euros is excellent value. You start with the traditional Catalán aperitif of toast rubbed with garlic and tomato, to which you then add virgin olive oil, sea salt and small slices of 'fuet ' (saucisson). After that comes a gargantuan 3 course meal with wine and mineral water included. There was a choice of 14-15 dishes for each course and we were both pretty boring and chose the same: the excellent 'antipasti Crusells ' and the delicious lamb cutlets. For dessert we were more original and had 'crema catalana ' and lemon sorbet: both were excellent.

Don't get me wrong, for the price this is a solid restaurant. But for those of you who have heard it's a restaurant anywhere close to Michelin star level, do not be fooled. I had the 3 course menu, starting with a salad, then the lamb, followed by their mousse. If I hadn't been expecting gourmet cuisine I would rate this place a solid 4 stars but the fact that they seem to go out of their way to associate their establishment with the world famous restaurant guide is doing them a great disservice. Go to this restaurant for a good meal if you're staying at Brea's (an amazing hotel btw) but don't go out of you way to come here. There are many amazing options in Reus that don't pretend to be world-class and offer comparable food at the same price.
