Had a reservation but still waited 45 min for a table. Filet and new york strip steaks were good not great. Mashed potatoes were warm and hard on the outside. Deserts were fair. Creme Brule topping was barely caramelized even though we asked the wattress to do this. The whipped cream on all the dessert tasted like it was made with sour milk. We told the waitress who went to the kitchen and then came back and said that it was bad! Despite this, there was no adjustment on the bill. We had 5 adults and one child and still paid almost $80 a piece.
Your prix fixe restaurant week offerings were magnificent-just sorry you ran out of the blackberry cabernet sorbet! The pork chop entry was sublime. Farrah was a huge help in getting stickers to us in a way we could use since you'd run out of the passport books. I was happy to hear a couple I'd been urging to dine with you did so, and loved it too. Thanks!
Food was absolutely delicious. Service was good, but we did feel like we were being rushed to get out. They asked my GF to take her plate while she was still eating off of it. Then came back again and asked my GF’s dad, halfway through eating his meal, if he would liked the rest boxed up. Other than that it was a great dinner.
This was an odd Massimo experience, during restaurant week, we ordered off of the regular menu the Caesar came out as a side portion, eggplant parm came without the spaghetti side it usually comes with… just disappointing from my usual favorite.

The restaurant has a charming old-school Italian atmosphere. I attended a company holiday party here and was impressed with the excellent service provided by the staff. The food was delicious, and the mixed drinks were exceptional.
Massimo's is my favorite restaurant in the East Bay. While I mostly live in Redwood City and have some favorite dining spots on the Peninsula, I always find myself saying hooray for Massimo's.
The food was excellent, the waiter seems to have been bombed so not as attentive as usual, but still an overall good experience
Had the crab sandwich for lunch. Always delicious. Prawn appetizer also excellent. Service was superb. Highly recommended.
