I've been a loyal fan of Matchbox, especially for their black bean burger, which I purchase quite often. However, my recent experience left me quite disappointed.I ordered my favorite black bean burger to go while en route (4:00 PM Friday traffic about 30mins from Kensington arriving aviut 4:30 PM) before heading to the restaurant. Upon arrival, I was told they had no record of my order. After showing the manager my email confirmation and bank record, they kindly placed the order for me. matchbox369 Brunch was phenomenal! This was my first time having brunch at a Matchbox location and the food was delishhhh. Blood spice: A classic **** mary w/ a lil' extra zest. Cold brew martini: Delish, refreshing and energizing. Steak eggs: Another classic which was cooked perfectly accompanied by potatoes. Chicken waffles: The chicken was SO good and paired together perfectly. Side of cheddar grits: Perfect sharable side who can do no wrong. Biscuit gravy: Super savoury and tasty. Overall, this was the biggest matchbox location I've seen lol. The staff were all super friendly and even turned on the Man U game for us and food/drinks were the perfect brunch. Insta SpicyAivy
I still have mixed feelings about the hamburgers. The tuna salad was disappointing; the tuna wasn't seared and was overwhelmed by dressing, plus the salad's extras were sparse. The grilled cheese sandwich was mostly bread with very little cheese. However, the burgers were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't check on us during our meal, so I didn't have the opportunity to voice my concerns about the tuna salad.
This used to be a great place for dinner and drinks, but it has definitely declined. The food is overpriced and mediocre, and while the staff were attentive, they appeared to lack knowledge about the menu and how the restaurant operates. Now I understand why only 20% of the tables were occupied on a Sunday night during dinner. We won't be coming back.

I enjoyed the pleasant brunch atmosphere and the delicious Tillamook cheddar grits at this restaurant! I was thrilled to see they offered chicken sausage as an option. The highlight of the brunch was definitely their matchbox mimosas, they were outstanding and stole the show!
Food was good, however, when I ordered with the other four people in my party. They receive their food and they had already finished eating by the time I got mine because the server didn't listen to what I said. 
Chicken sandwich was good. Black bean “burger” wasn’t a burger. It was a pile of unformed bean hash in a bun. Impossible to eat. Would have returned it but server did not come back. No drink refills, etc.
The restaurant was a bit chilly and breezy during our early dinner, especially due to a ceiling fan. However, the food and service were outstanding.

The food was a little better than average. They managed to ruin my favorite vegetable asparagus.
Great stop! Food was very good. Lunch was pretty fast and everyone seemed to enjoy!
