Very recommended! Those who not only like to move salad leaves on the plate from right to left, do not fear carbs and on Belgian way of life are here culinaric and as far as the ambience is super-resolved! Delicious, solid food, incoming beer selection and absolutely beautiful service in a successful atmosphere. In summer I look forward to the small but rustic terrace and look forward to coming back!
We had a little trouble finding the restaurant since it is on a side street with no car access. The restaurant is quaint and the waiter speaks English very well. Nice welcome and great food. We had crawfish soup and BBQ ribs with beer! The soup was fantastic and the ribs, coleslaw and fries were delicious. Waiter brought a great apple apertif with the bill.
We ate here on a recent visit to Brühl and while the food and service were both good, the thing that really the meal were the unexpected extra touches. We were brought a smaller taster plate of sliced sausage and dumpling before the meal and an aperitif after the plates were cleared. This was much appreciated and delicious on both occasions!
... so, my 5* from my last visit was confirmed to today!!! ...begic cuisine in perfection ... almost every Belgian abbey in offer ... Ambience original cozy ... WC (the business card of a restaurant) exemplary ... and for smokers there are now even heated smoking pavillion ... around the MaTis is the best resaurant far wide!!! Reserva una mesa ahora
We were lost, we were hungry and Marc Defraeye and his son made us feel so welcome. They even advised us on where to by football shirts and what teams were local etc. The food was awesome. I will most definitely be back!
One night in Bruhl and went for dinner at Matis. Cozy, intimate, authentic. Plenty of local dishes to choose from and a nice selection of beers. Attentive service even when the place was filling up. Would go back!
Small cozy restaurant, with a great service staff. The food was well prepared and the portions took care of a big empty stomach. Great dining experience and a fantastic range of Belgian beers!!!
