We were in Plauen for a weekend. On the first evening we streamed through the old town and landed by chance at the “Matsch”, which is called the oldest restaurant Plauens. Behind the entrance door we first came to a hall where there were different doors. To the toilets we wanted (not yet, to the “Vereinszimmer” we did not dare so right, and so we entered the room with the vault. Operation Two young operators stood there and welcomed us friendly. The restaurant/hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Plauen, not far from the old market. It has a small courtyard with beer garden, as well as a vaulted cellar with historical ambience. The restaurant reflects the long tradition of the house with wooden stands and historizing equipment.The dishes are of excellent quality at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and service-oriented.Our hotel room was surprisingly large with furniture in a historical look, as well as the double bed, which unexpectedly flopped as a water bed and in which we slept surprisingly well. The history of the building was well reminiscent of the old town and the house.

We were at the 80th birthday in the beer cellar yesterday. I would like to thank the staff in the service for their kindness and attention as well as the kitchen for the delicious food.It was a very beautiful and successful evening, continues so.We like to come back.

Wonderful, old farm with medieval rooms, some of them already inhabited a bit, but not bad. Too bad I find the impersonality from booking to check-out, all by phone. Some people like this as an advantage, I don't. Are also very busy, the boys and girls... Reserva una mesa ahora

We (4 people) were delighted by the staff, food, drinks, price/performance and plumbing of the restaurant. We recommend it to everyone who wants to eat cozy and in rustic surroundings. Clean and tidy, but a little small.We like to come back.

Beautiful ambience in the exterior and interior, especially the vaulted cellar is very successful. Eat super tasty and extremely sympathetic service. I'm happy to come back.
