Whoever hired Molly as an employee, you made an egregious error. So I took my wife to this place because we love Italian beef from Chicago. When we received our order, my sandwich was not entirely dipped, and my wife 's order was missing both sweet and hot peppers. Molly explained that she would just put peppers on top of it however my wife insisted that she made it over which in the food industry is the correct corrective action. Molly snatches the sandwich from my wife, yells something at my wife, then viciously slams the sandwich in the garbage can while storming to the back of the establishment. After that, my wife demanded a refund and when we asked to speak to the manager, Molly claime...
This place is right down the street from me and I come here all the time! The dipped Italian sub with both sweet and hot peppers is to die for. I crave it at least once weekly. And the milkshakes are out of this world! There is truly no better milkshake I’ve been disappointed in every milkshake I’ve had anywhere else since eating here. Everyone is so friendly. I’d probably choose a dipped sub and a chocolate milkshake from here as my last meal! Yes the prices are a bit high. Personally and thankfully, it’s not an issue for me as a single person who doesn’t have to feed a whole family. And the flavor is worth it in my opinion! I’m happy to support a local business.
I came up there and ordered Italian beef sandwich with both peppers. Well, the cook forgot my peppers. So I asked nicely if my sandwich could be re-made. Her name was Molly, she apologized and refused my remake my sandwich because it was cold and she messed up. She slammed That window in my face, then aggressively threw the sandwich in the trash. Horrible attitude, it was first visit. She is definitely racist. I will be making a personal complaint with the manager. I did ask for a refund. Extremely unprofessional. I will make sure everyone in the Hazel Park area knows how they treat customers. Disappointing, I would give 0 stars if I could.
I haven’t had an Italian Beef sandwich from any of the OG Chicagoland places yet but what I do know is Matt and MO’s Italian Beef sandwiches are really really good. I like mine wet with the hot giardiniera. I also like the provolone cheese but I’ve come to find out this is not traditional. Whatever, they offer it and I like it. Not cheep but you get a very tasty sando with lots of meat. Don’t sleep on their toasted ravioli or Chicago hot dogs. My only complaint is they are takeout only but with some outdoor tables. Depending on day of week or time of day you may not be able to get a table

Came here for the first time after wanting to try it for a while. So disappointed. Got a dipped Italian Beef, ate it right at a table outside. Bread disintegrated almost immediately, made for a terrible experience eating it. Beef inside the bread was good, though. Also got a Chicago Dog...again, bread was a failure. Bun was not really soft and was breaking apart in places where I wasn't eating it. Dog itself was good, though. Prices are a bit high and my experience didn't reflect the price I paid by any means. I went from making this place a must try to having zero interest in returning.
