We came here to celebrate a 2nd anniversary for our son and daughter in law. We decided on an early dinner and arrived around 330. We ordered a cocktail and appetizer first, which were very good. I had the Chicken Matteo and have enough left for 2 more meals! My son had a veal dinner and DIL had the Lemon chicken. They had left overs as well. Our 13 month old grandson had the children's portion of spaghetti and meatballs which would have been enough for me, so of course.....leftovers again! Hubby had fettuccine alfredo. They all raved about the pasta and how good it was.....so thinking it was fresh made, not a dry, boxed brand. My son tried the Italian Bread soup, very good too! Service was...
When my husband and I used to live in the area, Mateo was a favorite spot for us. We happened to be in the neighborhood the other day, so we decided to stop by for a bite. Despite it being years since our last visit, it felt like nothing had changed. The service was still exceptional, and the food was just as amazing as we remembered. If you're in the Columbia Station area and looking for great Italian food, I highly recommend checking them out. I give it a perfect 10 out of 10!
I dined here on Wednesday May 1st and had a wonderful experience. Our server Shelby was kind and delivered excellent service. I recommend ordering the wine flight it is an amazing deal. We started with the mussels which were good and our main course was the grouper. The grouper entree was flavorful and the rissoto was cooked perfectly. My only complaint is the cleaniess of the restaurant. Dirty floors, dirty highchairs and dirty toilets...
I like this little Italian restaurant. The service was excellent. There was no room at the bar so we sat at a table and drank a beautiful caramel salt drink. Beautifully made, excellent drink for $8.00 we had a pizza appetizer, just wonderful. The waitress was very attentive. Parking was about 5 minutes away. Such a great restaurant! The owner went out of his way to greet us at our table during our meal, I also noticed he took the time to chat with each table that got seated around us as well. I ordered the gluten free gnocchi with chicken which was UNREAL! My server was great with my food allergies. I also love how all the entrees come with a side salad. 10/10 service, food and staff!
Food was good. Beer was okay (kind of flat), but Jayme was fantastic! She was conversational, personable and friendly. She boosted a good experience to a fantastic experience! If you're looking for a good day shift lunch, make sure you seek her out. You'll thank me later! Thank you, Jayme!
