Matter of Taste - Reservar una mesa

I was one of eight people in the café, including the staff, when I was there today. However, my guess is that I wasn 't part of the cool kid group. I waited at the counter long enough that I thought about leaving because I had yet to be acknowledged by anyone let alone the staff for a few minutes. It 's probably because the staff were standing around a table, likely containing all staff, at the back of the café talking about nothing important or related to the café. Then I was finally greeted by a young person who behaved like she was just going through the motions because I clearly took time away from this person 's involvement in the riveting conversation that was still ongoing at the back...

This was the first time coming to Matter of Taste , and I quite liked it. I recommend coming here for a coffee with a friend or to do some work. The prices are on par with other independent coffee houses. The atmosphere and staff were welcoming. The staff being your coffee and etc to you at your table after you order at the counter. There were a number of different seating arrangements, tables for two, long, shared work table, window spots etc. There are vegan options, and three types of non dairy milk substitutes. I had the triple chocolate brownie and large Café late with a Canadian made oat milk. I really enjoyed both.

Really cute coffee shop nestled in hectic downtown Kitchener. The location is almost across the street from City Hall we took our teas there and enjoyed taking a moment to relax in the Anorak chairs while we ate our cookie.I tried the Cherry Rose Green Tea which was delicious. Hubby had the Earl Gray Tea. Both teas were very tasty.We also tried the Ginger Cookie yummy!

This is the best coffee shop in Kitchener. Its my favourite go to place when I am in downtown. Its a local coffee shop serving amazing coffee with warmth and smiles. I love their Cappuccino and Mochachino coffees. The ambience is amazing and staff is super friendly. I recommend this place for any coffee lover as its a matter of taste!

Good reviews on Google Maps lured me to this place, otherwise I probably wouldn't have come here. Their coffee is really excellent, and the ice cream was also very tasty, even if the selection is quite limited. The positives are the outdoor patio and nice decent staff. However, I find the design of the cafe so impersonal, cold.

I had the most delicious muffin of my life here today. It was the one with ginger, pineapple, carrot, and coconut, and truly I do not think I will have such a good culinary experience for years to come. The coffee was also especially nice. Overall a great place.

I was taught first impression lasts. They can do a lot better. Their Nitro is a simple light or pale cold coffee with a froth. No good at all! The cookies are very much below standard. Put in one word, ENOUGH! Can't go back. There are other better places to go.

Super cute cafe!We got a matcha peach iced tea and an iced coffee a lemon cheesecake and banana chocolate chip muffin.

Had a great time here, great coffee and friendly baristas. Took home one of their teas and we loved it.
