Amazing quality and service! The food is incredible, lots of choice from the menu and staff are great in helping point out drink recommendations and specials. The lamb was the most succulent I've ever had and the red cabbage, I just wish I could recreate that! Will be returning and recommend to everyone.
food quality. here twice on an annual trip to ambleside. in the first night there were 8 of us with different appetizers and nets and in the other night there were 4 of us again different foods. all were tasty, super boiled and offers good value. will definitely go back. thank you matthews.

my man, whom I have dined at matthew’s bistro on Tuesday night. what can I say, attentive personal, tasteful eating and a great price, which is not to love. we will definitely eat again at our next visit in ambleside
I visited matthews for an early dinner with my family including 9 month old baby. The food was excellent and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed it, thank you. Highly recommend.
