I ordered the fried fish combo, which came with rice and fried plantains, and I was thoroughly pleased with my meal. The fish was cooked fresh to order and was perfectly done—crispy on the outside while remaining moist and flaky on the inside. The texture of the crust was just right. The rice was delicious, although be cautious as it contains large pieces of chicken, and I did encounter a few bones. It wasn't a major problem, but it's something to keep in mind. The fried plantains were also fantastic; I love them, and these certainly met my expectations. I would definitely return in the future. With a fountain drink, my total came to $14, which I think is a great value.
The food is good, but the main problem seems to be the owner. I used to visit this place almost every day and I'm familiar with the dynamics. The owner frequently hires new staff, likely to save money, which means the employees don't have the opportunity to learn or develop a commitment to their jobs. As a result, the service tends to suffer in his absence. If you go after 3 PM, good luck finding anything that's not completely dry. While the food is quite tasty, especially the chicken, it's unfortunate that the owner doesn’t understand that taking care of employees leads to them taking care of the business.
I was on the lookout for some home-cooked sancocho when I decided to check out Matt's BBQ Restaurant. The food looked really fresh, and I ended up ordering an extra platter. Even though I had originally planned to eat at home, the enticing aroma and beautiful presentation of the dishes drew me in, and I ended up dining at the restaurant. The food was exceptional, and I made sure to thank each staff member individually for creating such a delicious meal. I truly appreciated the fantastic customer service provided by Jose, Eve, Fran, and Ariane. Without a doubt, this place is the real deal! Thank you!

I ordered from DoorDash and chose the Combo Pork Pernil, and wow, the flavor was incredible! I have to mention the portion sizes—one platter was enough for both my lunch and dinner! And at just $11? That's unbelievable! This will definitely be my go-to place from now on. It was my first experience with Matt's Latin BBQ, and I’m already excited to recommend it to everyone.
I recently placed an order from this restaurant through Doordash, and I truly regret it. The food was disappointing and tasteless. One of the empanadas I received looked like it was three days old, and I ended up tossing it in the trash. I'm just hoping I don't end up with a stomachache. It lacked flavor and was quite bland, which made both my wife and I disappointed with our choices. I had the pasteles with rice and beans, while my wife ordered the ribs. Neither of us enjoyed our meals.
