Had dinner in this neighborhood bar and restorer last night. I really liked that they had a drink menu with their special cocktails. I had the Jalapeño Margarita, who was really good. When a place says it has a spicy margarita, they usually only throw a piece of jalapeño in it and call it good. Here at Maverick House Tavern, they actually had a tired Jalapeño that makes it so much better. We ordered the nachos for an app. Unfortunately, they were not the best. Only had a single layer of cheese, so if you don't get a chip from the top you won't get a chance on cheese and they lose their name list if they only have a bunch of chips. I had a sharp shrimp taco and Cajun chicken taco. Unfortunate...
I wholeheartedly recommend this place—10/10! We stopped in just to kill some time, and we were pleasantly surprised. We've found our new go-to spot in Boston for when we fly in! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food and drinks were fantastic. Our waitress, the cook, and John were all very kind and attentive to our needs, even as we sat outside in the unexpectedly hot weather. Being from South Carolina, we're used to it, but I'm not sure they realized that! #SupportLocal
I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night and was promptly seated outside without any wait. My friends ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich, and I sampled their dishes, which were both tasty. I tried a few tacos with corn tortillas, but unfortunately, the tortillas were a bit dry and fell apart easily. However, the filling of the tacos was delightful. I'm planning to return soon to try their brunch and explore more items on the menu.
This place has such a fantastic vibe! The drinks were awesome! The food was killer!! Our server was on point and friendly!! The dart room had written Play The Game on the windows!! Such a blast!! I'll be back and bring friends!! I hope more people come and experience it as well!! They won't be disappointed! So easy to get to as well! Right down the street from the Maverick T stop. I went in to try the new menu and I can tell you this is some of the best food around. The owner John is great and Phil (head chef) creates some amaaaaaaazing food. Don?t take my word for it, come try for yourself! Ive added some mouthwatering pictures of the food to show how they present it ?
