This is a reliable little truck stop. When I stopped here, I was far from home, and as a country person from Maine, I was feeling a bit homesick. However, walking into this place reminded me that things aren't too different down here in Texas. The deer decor on the walls and the overall atmosphere took me back to my favorite gas stations and truck stops back home, along with all the hunting tales I've shared in similar venues. It may just be a truck stop, but it really made a difference for me.
We have visited this place numerous times on our journeys from Fort Worth to New Mexico. It is consistently clean, the staff is friendly, and there is a wide variety of food, drinks, and merchandise available. The restrooms are well-maintained and tidy. There are plenty of gas pumps, and it's easy to get on and off I-20. It's a fantastic option for anyone looking for gas, a snack, or simply a place to take a quick break during their travels.
Stop in and get some Texas hospitality. The grill fixes up some great catfish and the burgers likewise are great. The portions are fair for the price. That's just the grill. Theres a feeling of comfort and well being. Check out the history on the walls and tooled rodeo saddles. There is plenty of parking crushed limestone) but next door is concrete. Good place to take a 10 hr. break.
We always have an excellent meal at Maverick. My wife and I like to head down south after church on Sundays for a burger, and we’ve never been disappointed. The burgers are incredibly tasty and HUGE. A great truck stop.. nice inside and out.. only 3 fuel islands though.. 2 restaurants inside clean restrooms and convenience store with lots of stuff to buy.. friendly and professional employees as well.. I definitely recommend stopping here..
Today I watched that old man in the kitchen drop food, use it anyways, and go on without washing his hands. Not the first time I've seen it either, i think his name was james... I think I'll be eating at Rusty's from now on
This is a must stop for me whenever I go through here. The Maverick Grill menu may look a little pricey, but this is definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for '. I have yet to have a less than excellent meal here.
The cheeseburger was great! The place has lots of interesting decorations. The fried pies will be your favorite. An interesting combination grill, gas station, convenience store, with a taco place on the other end. Reserva una mesa ahora
Great atmosphere. Food is good at grill or taco casa. Much better than other truck stops in that this has a small town cowboy feel but is big enough to have a big group stop in. Clean place. Family friendly.
